Worship is war, standing before our King and proclaiming His name, leading people to find grace in His Word and restoring faith in His power actually puts the enemy in fear. The war that arises is something we need to acknowledge and prepare for . This has to be done, in Word, in Prayer and in Action.
The war comes in various forms, as the team prepares there arises sickness in the team, we see work and family issues arise , bitterness and envy grow within the team for very petty things. This becomes even more difficult when the team continues in silence fighting the enemy without sharing this war with each other and then the enemy works on the mind, the longer the silence last it causes the team to break down and "me battles" start.
Probably this may not be your case but do look across the experiences you may have had in choirs and bands focused on worshipping our God . These issues arise and gossip raises her ugly head and slowly things break down, till we acknowledge what's happening in our hearts. What do we need to do as the war begins?
In Word - His Word is your strongest weapon, start with this as He will guide you in all situations to understand, reflect and pursue His call.
In Prayer - Back His Word with prayer.Prayer is your high speed data connection to God's Heart. As you open your heart to Him about every war that you are facing as a leader, He will speak for He knows the battle is His . Answers will pour in His time , strategies will come forth to fight the enemy and a peace beyond understanding will cover your heart .
In Action - When God speaks to you , you need to learn to walk in His authority , you need to do what He asks you. If He tells you talk, talk. If He tells you be silent , be silent. If He tells to seek advice of elders, seek advice. If He tells to walk in peace, continue to strive for peace. If He tells you to leave in harmony with others, do so.
After you have done all the above with your team then step on stage together and victory is yours in His name. The war starts from the very moment you intend to do great things for God , so be aware and be ready for the victory is His.
